The All New Subaru Impreza

Ranked favorably by auto critics, Subaru continues to impress with the Subaru Impreza sedan and hatchback. U.S. News and Reports has ranked the Subaru Impreza in the top-ten of most affordable small cars. In the Top Picks for 2014, Consumer Reports picked the Subaru Impreza as the best compact car. The 2015 model rating for fuel economy was an impressive 27 MPG City, 36 MPG Highway.

Features

The Impreza meets the tough Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (PZEV) standards of California, having lower pollution emissions than even some hybrids.

The Impreza comes in a four-door and a five-door hatchback. Three passengers fit in the back seat, which also folds down for extra carrying space.

Additional features include: adjustable headrests in all seating positions, automatic dimming rear-view mirror and split-folding rear seats.

Performance

The Subaru Impreza transmission system is a fuel economy-increasing Lineartronic® Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive gives the Impreza great handling, making the Subaru Impreza a smooth ride.

The unique Subaru Boxer® engine has pistons aligned in a horizontal layout, moving from one side to the other instead of up and down. Each side cancels the vibrations of the other. This means the engine runs smoother with more efficiency and delivers maximum power.

Technology

Blue-tooth hands-free communication system controls a mobile phone and the audio system with voice commands without having to take hands from the steering wheel. Standard is a premium audio system with six speakers and HD radio®. GPS navigation is also voice-activated for safety and so you never get lost.

Automated climate control is available. Just set the desired temperature and the system takes care of it.

Safety

The Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) monitors steering and braking to make sure the vehicle goes where the driver wants it to go.

The Smart Braking System includes the Antilock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist. This system works in harmony to prevent lock-up of the wheels, maintain control, and stop the vehicle as fast as possible in an emergency stop situation.

There are seven airbags and reinforced frame for accident protection. Add the optional rear vision camera to have a full view while backing up.
